David V. Is the avant-garde Canadian artist who has been painting professionally for over 25 years…The origins of his career can be traced to humble beginnings in the Dominican Republic. His career in art began to flourish within his first show in Toronto Canada, in the early 1990’s.

As a native of Dominican Republic, David has transformed the North American art landscape by revalorizing contemporary art. His injecture of vibrant colour pays as homage to his island heritage.

Despite his informal training David V has gained acclaim and admiration for his “Como y venta” series featured at The Canadian Museum of civilization in Canada's nations capital.

Many more museums followed suite commissioning collections of Vasquez work and continues to displays it for thousands if visitor s across north america annually.

His recent collection which include the “Luminous” series; infuse three-dimensional mixed media with vibrant color hues and charismatic expressions.

This recent collection of David's works were featured at Toronto’s 10th Annual Nuit Blanche exposition in addition to his commissioning by The Royal Ontario Museum for his Jazz collection for their inaugural Colorblind Exhibit. Participating in over 10 group exhibitions in each year. David V’s works are featured in over 30 galleries in Canada and abroad.

Over the years, David V’s paintings have found their home in the private collections of celebrities and artisans alike, including those owned by actor/producer Andy Garcia, singer/composer Nelly Furtado, actors Angela Bassett and Nick Nolte.
